Member Specialist
A Member-Specialist (MCPCH) is a person who has satisfactorily completed their specialist training in a field of Paediatrics and Child Health and has been elected to Membership having satisfied the Council of the College that they possess the necessary qualifications. However, they have not yet met the criteria to qualify as a Fellow of the College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Who is a Member-Specialist (MCPCH)?
A Member-Specialist is a person who has successfully completed their specialist training in a field of Paediatrics and Child Health but has not yet met the criteria to become a Fellow of the College of Paediatrics and Child Health (ECSAPACH).
What are the requirements to become a Member-Specialist?
- Successful completion of specialist training in Paediatrics and Child Health.
- Possession of qualifications recognized by the ECSAPACH Council.
- Registration and active practice of Paediatrics services in a constituent member country.
How does one apply to become a Member-Specialist?
- Submit a completed application form below to the Secretary-General.
- Include a comprehensive and up-to-date curriculum vitae.
What is the election process for Member-Specialists?
- The Examinations and Credentials Committee reviews the submitted documents.
- An election is held at a regular Council meeting.
- If elected, Member status is granted upon payment of fees, and the College Registrar issues a certificate.
Are there any obligations for Member-Specialists?
Yes, a newly elected member must sign and abide by the declaration as stated in Article 36.0 of the ECSAPACH Constitution.
